Christmas Day in Malta is a deeply cherished and festive occasion, celebrated with a blend of religious traditions, family gatherings, and cultural customs. As a predominantly Catholic country, Malta places significant emphasis on the spiritual aspect of Christmas, with Midnight Mass (known as *Priedka tat-Tifel*) being a central event. During this service, a child often delivers a sermon reflecting on the meaning of Christmas. Homes and streets are beautifully decorated with nativity scenes (*presepju*), twinkling lights, and festive ornaments. The Maltese take great pride in creating elaborate cribs, a tradition that dates back centuries. Families come together to enjoy a hearty Christmas Eve dinner, often featuring dishes like *timpana* (baked pasta) and *qagħaq tal-għasel* (honey rings). On Christmas Day, a traditional lunch is served, with roast turkey or lamb taking center stage, accompanied by seasonal desserts like *pudina tal-ħobż* (bread pudding).
