Foundation Day

**Foundation Day (Kenkoku Kinen no Hi)** is a national holiday in Japan celebrated annually on **February 11**. According to Japanese mythology, Emperor Jimmu, a descendant of the sun goddess Amaterasu, established the Japanese nation and its imperial line, which continues to this day.
