National Holiday

Canada Day, celebrated on July 1st, is the national holiday of Canada, commemorating the anniversary of the Confederation in 1867 when the British North America Act (now called the Constitution Act, 1867) united three colonies into a single country called Canada within the British Empire. Originally known as Dominion Day, the holiday was renamed Canada Day in 1982.
